An Icon Has Risen

Tribute, after tribute post appeared online. My eyes skimmed over those three dreadful words "Rest in Peace" as I awaited Kyrzayda's final post. Tears swelled in my eyes, as I read the news aloud.

"You were someone who inspired so many people across the world. Not only were you an icon, you were an amazing daughter, mother and friend. Our hearts are broken to see you go. But we know you are no longer in pain and can now rest. 
Heaven has gained an Angel! 
We love you forever! - Joanne

Kyrzayda Rodriguez,  Dominicana fashion influencer, stylist, entreprenuer, daughter, mother  and dear dear friend to all those who got the opportunity to love her. Was born August 8th, 1978 and lost her battle to stomach cancer on September 9th, 2018. Her year logn fight drew the attention of people eerywhere flooding her comments with encouragement and love. She was a warrior who fought hard and long. Lifting the veil on all possible assumptions,  with transparency she shared herself until the end. The strongest battle was truly given to the strongest soldier.

Kyrzayda EXCEEDED her mark on everything that she touched, from international travel, to her daily fitness regimen. Kyrzayda was a force to be wreckoned with. Her energy magnetized itself to all that was for her taking. She created avenues for Latinos and Brown Women Bloggers. 

Kyrzayda is a reminder to live life like no one's watching. Effortlessly, freely, and without permission!
